ARTISTIC STATEMENT
This is 2020 but in a dream. The journey the audience goes on is similar to what the character goes through. The 3 immersive rooms represent identity (mirror room), heartbreak (text room) and breakthrough (fabric room). In the mirror room, you will come face to face with multiple reflections of yourself. In the text room, you confront this giant light box that spells out the word heartbreak where the word break flickers. In the fabric room, you physically need to push through these hanging fabric tubes to the end. After the journey, you come out to a beautiful chaos of a world upside down where there is a cloud tree that grows from the sky and sprouts light bulbs. The main set is a painted sky floor and wall where it will be able to transform with UV paint. Along with the sky transforming, the tree transforms to imprison Malvolio where we will be able to watch him physically try to break through the tree.
